Monica Sosa-Scherer was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. She earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Wichita State University. Monica then moved to Lawrence, Kansas, and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. While in law school, Monica took advantage of job and intern opportunities working for in-house counsel at CenturyLink, Inc., the Paul E. Wilson Project for Innocence, KU Legal Services for Students, Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office and Johnson County District Attorney’s Office. Monica served as the President of the Hispanic American Law Student Association and competed in the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition.
After law school, Monica moved back to Wichita to be closer to family and her husband Noah. Monica is a fluent Spanish speaker and uses this skill in her practice to serve Spanish speaking clients. Outside of work, Monica enjoys concerts, singing karaoke with her family and watching the Kansas City Chiefs.
